—------------------------------------------
Recent advances in fiber-optic sensing, particularly Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS), are transforming optical fibers into dense, kilometer-scale sensor arrays capable of recording seismic wavefields with unprecedented spatial resolution. These technologies are rapidly expanding possibilities for earthquake monitoring, geodetic measurements, and environmental sensing.
This session will bring together researchers working on:
-
Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) and other fiber-optic sensing techniques
-
Seismological and geodetic applications of fiber-optic monitoring
-
Novel methodologies for signal processing and data interpretation
-
Field deployments and experimental studies
-
Integration of fiber-optic data with conventional seismic networks
We welcome contributions from academia, research institutes, and industry exploring both methodological developments and real-world applications.
Please feel free to share this invitation with colleagues or collaborators who might be interested!
