EGU26 Call fro abstracts: Inter- and Transdisciplinary Studies of the Geosphere and EPOS GO! Prize for ECRs

As you know, there are only a few days left to submit your abstract to EGU26 and we would like to invite you to consider submitting to EPOS’ co-organised to consider the ITS session EPOS is co-organising with AuScope, EarthScope and Earth Sciences NZ as an option.
ITS1.21/ESSI4.5 Inter- and Transdisciplinary Studies of the Geosphere: experiences, challenges and new perspectives worldwide”

The session focuses on:

  • Digital and data-driven approaches to Solid Earth science
  • Interdisciplinary research across the geosphere
  • Research infrastructures, FAIR data, and open science
  • Digital tools and workflows enabling collaboration across communities

I’d also would like to catch this opportunity to promote our EPOS Early Career Researcher Prize – EPOS Go! , which we launched in connection with the EGU General Assembly 2026, EPOS is offering up to three €2000 individual EPOS Go! prizes to Early Career Researchers who are attending EGU 2026 and actively contributing to research in Digital Geosciences and the Solid Earth. The prize aims to recognise innovative, interdisciplinary research and to encourage early career engagement with research infrastructures, open science, and FAIR data practices.

Abstract submission requirement

Part of the eligibility for the prize requires applicants to submit an abstract to one of the ITS1 – Digital Geosciences sessions at EGU 2026 (using the keyword “solid Earth”), in accordance with EGU rules and deadlines.

We would appreciate it if you could circulate this opportunity among your doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and other eligible early career scientists who may be interested in presenting at EGU 2026.
