Dear ORFEUS Community,
the biannual EPOS Seismology (EFEHR+ORFEUS+EMSC) workshop will take place in Athens
(Greece), between 24-27 November 2025, locally organized by the Institute of Geodynamics
of the National Observatory of Athens and financially supported by project Geo-INQUIRE.
This event will cover a wide range of topics in seismology, including but not limited to
Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS), marine seismology, seismic hazard and risk assessment,
machine learning applications, earthquake early warning systems, seismic data FAIRness,
and lessons learned from recent European seismic sequences, such as the Santorini-Amorgos
swarm.
Participation is free of charge. The maximum number of participants is tentatively
set to 120/day including the organizers, speakers and trainers. Travel grants will be
available via Geo-INQUIRE and ORFEUS/EFEHR funds to subsidise the travel and accommodation
expenses of qualified participants.
