Dear Colleagues,
The East African Institute for Fundamental Research, an ICTP Partner Institute with a UNESCO Category 2 status and based in Kigali at the University of Rwanda (www.eaifr.org), seeks a faculty member (senior lecturer or associate professor) to join its solid-Earth Geophysics group.
Specifically we are looking for someone who will undertake research in seismology and related fields such as geodesy and active tectonics. We are particularly interested in applicants with a strong theoretical background in any sub-field of seismology (including and not limited to: physics of earthquakes, ground motion seismology, seismic tomography and volcano-seismology). We welcome applicants with experience in method development and/or new data collection methods and analysis techniques.
This post is a permanent position (renewable every three years) and faculty members are automatically offered an ICTP Associateship which supports research visits to the ICTP in Trieste- Italy.
